Mr Bean Coffee Bean Scrub in Mandarin - review
/
0 Comments
I've reviewed the coconut version of this scrub (see here) and I love it so much that it won best body scrub in my 2015 favourites.
Happily I received a second one of these in the mandarin flavour, so I thought I may as well write a separate post on this one because why not? Any chance to talk about how much I love this product, I'll take!
Mr Bean claims/product details:
- Organic coffee scrub with robusta coffee beans, organic cold pressed coconut oil, Himalayan pink rock salt, Demerara sugar, organic cacao and vitamin e oil
- Tough enough to improve your skin's imperfections, while leaving you feeling softer and smoother than ever
- Caffeine will stimulate blood flow and help reduce the appearance of cellulite, eczema, stretchmarks, age spots, varicose veins and psoriasis
- Demerara sugar and Himalayan salt will exfoliate your skin, removing dead skin, acne, whiteheads, blackheads, breakouts and other skin blemishes
- Coconut oil will hydrate and moisturise your skin
- Cocoa and vitamin e are high in antioxidants, which nourish and protect the skin - promoting cell repair and rejuvenation
- To use: all good things start in the shower; get wet, rub a large handful of scrub in circular massage motions, focusing on problem areas; leave to dry for five minutes and rinse off
- RRP $17.95 AUD for 220g
I seriously love this product. It hit HG status from the first use and it's stayed there at the top of my body scrub list, equal only with my other HG scrub from Villainess.
Dry body scrubs have been doing the rounds in subscription boxes over the past six months so I've received a few of them and they tend to be quite messy and a little annoying to use. Fortunately I don't find that with this particular product - maybe because the scrub isn't quite dry so it adheres to the skin better, meaning you don't lose half of it in the shower because it's better at staying put.
I do prefer the coconut version of this product but this one smells nice too. It reminds me of chocolate orange and I do love the scent of coffee in products like this because they wake me up nicely for the day ahead.

The texture of this scrub is probably my favourite thing about it: while it does exfoliate well, the grains are quite soft so they're not too harsh and scratchy like some dry scrubs can be. Something in the product also seems to melt into my skin, and the scrub feels nourishing/hydrating as well as being great for removing dead skin cells.
On the product claims: I do think this improves skin imperfections while leaving your skin feeling soft and smooth; it does feel like it stimulates blood flow and removes dead skin; and it does feel nourishing and protecting at the same time.
You can also use this scrub on your face, but I prefer it on my body because it feels more like a body scrub to me - plus I have so many face scrubs to use up that I'd rather save this for the rest of me.
All in all, this is a brilliant scrub and I love it. I can see myself buying it again and again!
