Mecca L3 Beauty Loop Box October 2016
/
0 Comments
Yesterday we got the email saying that the Mecca Beauty Loop boxes were in, so I decided to make the most of the fact that my daughter was in childcare and my husband was home to watch the newborn, and off I went.
Like many I really look forward to these quarterly boxes, and although they at times suit my preferences better than others, they're always a nice little treat and a good part of Mecca's service offering. Happily this little box is right up my street and I can't wait to get stuck into it.
As soon as I opened the box, I was pleased to see that I'd been justified in holding-off on buying the new Mecca Superspray SPF 50+.
I've been waiting for someone to release a decent sunscreen spray that you can use over makeup (the ones I've tried haven't been good at all), and when I saw that Mecca had released one, I waited to buy it in the hope that we'd receive it in our next Beauty Loop boxes. And indeed we did. Woot woot!
Also included are items from Hourglass, Kate Somerville and Chantecaille. Let's have a quick look at each one in turn.
Mecca Cosmetica Sunbrella Invisible Superspray SPF 50+ (20ml)
This is Mecca's new completely clear, fast-absorbing sunscreen spray for face and body. Acting like an invisible umbrella, the mist is perfect for on-the-go protection. It's 4 hour water-resistant and is suitable for sensitive skin, offering maximum broad spectrum protection against age-accelerating UVA and UVB rays.
I'm thrilled to see this release and, if it's good, I can see it becoming a staple for me straight away. I've long grappled with the 'how do I put sunscreen over my makeup' dilemma, and I know I'm not the only one. Fingers crossed this boosts my sun protection without disturbing my makeup or leaving me looking too greasy.
Kate Somerville Goat Milk Moisturising Cream (7.5ml)
Apparently Kate Somerville formulated this nourishing cream for sensitive, dry or damaged skin, or those prone to redness or rosacea. It's enriched with biologically active milk polypeptides to repair dry skin; lactose to soothe and gently exfoliate; and aloe, jojoba and avocado to hydrate and condition.
I've seen this cream doing the rounds in the beauty community lately so I'm thrilled to have the chance to test it.
This is a lightweight, oil-free cream that's designed to absorb into the skin and boost luminosity by adding a layer of light onto the complexion. Skintone is neutralised, brightened and evened, and flaws are blurred to create a smooth, seamless canvas.
I have tried this before in the Luminous Light shade and really didn't like it, but Hourglass is one of my favourite brands so I'm prepared to give the product another chance. Fingers crossed it agrees with me better this time around.
Chantecaille Jasmine Lily Healing Mask
This is apparently the ideal skin solution for sunburned, jet-lagged, irritated or wind-chapped skin. It helps cool and calm reddened skin, reduce inflammation, repair damaged tissue and promote cellular turnover. You can use it as a dedicated mask or as an overnight cream.
This sounds like something my skin would like and I haven't had much experience with Chantecaille skincare so I'm happy to give it a go.
I'm really pleased with this little box and extra pleased that I can try the Mecca Superspray. The other items are also ones I'll use and I can't wait to test them.
Let me know which box you received and whether you're happy with it : )
