Zelens 3t Complex Essential Anti-aging Cream - review

I recently finished off the skincare I was using and I have a choice to next move some Alpha-H trial sizes into rotation, or a few stray Eslor products. That will be the end of my skincare stash (eek!) and once those products are done, I've got my eye on some Suki and Ren items.
Before that, however, I've decided to get through the 'miscellaneous' products in my stash, including this travel sized Zelens cream that was a GWP from an order ages ago. I have to say, I'm absolutely loving it and it's exactly what my dry winter skin needs.
I would definitely be buying the full size, but for the $150 AUD price tag...
Zelens claims/product details:
- A revolutionary formula that deeply hydrates skin and improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- Contains an exclusive plant-derived complex: enriched with plant-isolated ursolic acid, this cream stimulates collagen synthesis and allows recovery of the epidermal barrier function while offering anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties
- Scientific research also shows that ursolic acid efficiently reduces wrinkles and improves skin firmness and elasticity
- A blend of rice, commiphora mukul and hyaluronic acid promotes skin protection from oxidative damage and helps maintain a youthful appearance by deeply hydrating skin and filling in wrinkles for a smoother surface
- Suitable for all skin types
- Consumer research showed after 4 weeks: 100% of women found skin more hydrated; 100% of women noticed a plumping effect on wrinkles; 90% of women found improvement in skintone and elasticity; 90% of women found skin complexion more luminous; 80% of women found wrinkles less visible
- RRP $150 AUD for 50ml, but do shop around
Verdict
I had no idea what this was or what to expect when I first cracked open the sample a couple of weeks ago, but I was instantly over-mooned by everything about it.
It's rich and hydrating without being greasy, and my dry skin is looking all the better for it. My husband even noticed that my skin is looking better than normal, and he's not one to notice stuff like that unless the difference is marked.
I can definitely see a difference in the look and feel of my skin, even after using this for only two weeks: makeup goes on like a dream because my skin is smoother, so I need and use less of it; my face just looks happier and more hydrated, and any dry patches I had are now gone; and while I wouldn't say my wrinkles are reduced for the whole time I'm using this, they take many hours to appear after the morning and evening applications, so I don't need to keep moisturising my skin throughout the day as I normally would.
Honestly, this stuff looks like it's taken a few years off my face. My skin has suffered after pregnancy and now breastfeeding (I think a lot of the good stuff is going to someone else ; ) ), but this cream has breathed life back into an otherwise dull complexion. I also think it has an anti-inflammatory effect because the redness around my nose area has all but cleared up over the two weeks I've been using this. My skin is dewy and supple, and this stuff seems to melt in there and do good things whenever I use it.
Big product claims normally annoy the pants off me, but in this case I'm prepared to say that I think they're all true. After only two weeks of use, I've noticed all the same things that the test group of women noticed. Yay to that.
I would love to see how this product works over time on things like age spots and pores. I suspect it has a chance of doing something towards those where lesser creams fail. It may also do something towards healing scars, but the price tag may mean that I never find out. It's true that you don't need much of it each time (so it should last a while and therefore be better value than creams you need more of), but even then I don't have that kind of money to spend on one face cream.
One of the most amazing creams I've ever used. I'd be giving it an HG tag but I would prefer to have used a full size of this before doing that.
Awesome.
