Glamourflage Saucy Sue Shower Cap - review
/
0 Comments
Yes, it's true: I'm reviewing a shower cap. Why? Because I've never had a decent shower cap - I've only ever used the ones pinched from hotels - and I must say I'm loving this one.
I thought it might be worthwhile to review this because a fancy shower cap is a good product for the woman (or man, of course) who has everything and is hard to buy for. It's the kind of product that you wouldn't buy for yourself (I mean, it's a shower cap), but you'd welcome if someone gave it to you because it's good fun and will get a lot of use.
Glamourflage claims/product details:
- Protect those silken locks with this ultra glam shower cap
- Function and form meet perfectly, allowing you to continue looking divine every second of the day
- RRP $7.95
Verdict
Of course, there's not a hell of a lot to say about a shower cap so this will be a short review.
What's worth mentioning is that this is nicely large and does the job well, plus it's a pleasure to use and it looks so fancy sitting there in the shower. It's amazing how small things can make a difference to the experience of having a shower, and this does.
Since having a baby, my shower time has become so precious. When my husband gets home from work, I jump straight in the shower and - even though our house is small - I can't hear my daughter cry with the door closed, the fan on and the water going. Bliss.
The products I use during my shower routine have taken on a new importance because the daily ritual of washing has become elevated to my one, true and protected moment of peace in the day. I do get some peace when my daughter is asleep or lying happily on her play gym, but it's not quite the same as being locked behind a door when someone else is looking after her and you can't hear any noise from beyond the cocoon of the bathroom.
So yes, I've reviewed this shower cap because it's now part of my most peaceful moment in the day. Plus I've had it for ages and it hasn't gone mouldy or stretched yet, so it was worth saying that at least.
Next time I'm strapped for a Mother's Day gift for my mum (who doesn't need much and has all that she needs), I think a pack with some fancy soaps and a nice shower cap would be something she'd appreciate more than just another necklace or scarf to add to the pile.
