Alpha-H Liquid Gold Rejuvenating Cream - review
/
0 Comments
I've just reviewed the cleanser from this set (see here), and this rejuvenating cream is another amazing product. Both the cleanser and this cream hit HG status almost from the first use, and once we've finished the expensive exercise of moving house, I hope to buy more from this brand in future.
Indeed, I may well have found the skincare range that's best for my skin - finally!
Happily I have another travel kit from these guys that I've started to introduce - a couple of weeks after these three products, just so I could see what each item was doing - and already my skin is looking better for it.
Huzzah!
Alpha-H claims/product details:
- A rich evening moisturiser ideal for skin refining, enhanced smoothness, radiance and luminosity
- Best suited to mature skin, this luxurious moisturiser boasts Argan stem cells to enhance and protect
- Vitamin C firms and brightens the skin
- For normal to mature skin
- Raised pH maximises moisturising potential and eases tingling on application
- Reduces surface pigment, softening the appearance of sun spots and sun damage
- Rebuilds the scaffolding of the skin, resulting in a plumper and more youthful skintone
- Ingredients include glycolic acid, album bark, Argan stem cells, vitamin C and matrixryl 6
- To use: after thoroughly cleansing the skin, apply to the face, neck and décolletage in upward and outward circular movements, avoiding the eye area; use evenings, alternating with Alpha-H Liquid Gold
- RRP $99 for 50ml, but do shop around
Verdict
Since introducing this cream into my skincare ritual, the change in my skin is nothing short of insane. After only a week of use I could feel and see the difference, and after a month of use the benefits are even more marked.
My skin looks and feels healthier, smoother and more plumped, and it's softened my fine lines too. Plus my blemishes have cleared up and it's had an effect on skintone and age spots already - I can't wait to see how much better my skin looks after an extended period of using this!
It's a white cream that feels cooling and velvety when applied, and it's super rich and nourishing without leaving a greasy residue behind. My skin looks fresher and more awake whenever I apply it, and the effects seem to not only last until the next day, but there seems to be a cumulative effect over time. That's so rare for a skincare product, in my experience - I just wish I'd found this gem sooner!
My skin tends towards dryness and can be sensitive, and this product hasn't irritated my skin at all (some products can but nothing I've tried from Alpha-H has created any issues). I use this on alternate evening to my HG Alpha-H Liquid Gold (reviewed here) and they work so well together. I can't imagine ever being without either product. If Alpha-H stopped making these, I'm pretty sure I'd be dead.
This cream acts as a light exfoliant, and you can really see the difference in your face from the first use (at least I could). It definitely has a resurfacing effect without being too harsh.
On the product claims: yes it refines skin and enhances smoothness and radiance; yes it firms and brightens the skin; yes it reduces surface pigment, softening the appearance of sun spots and sun damage; and yes it delivers a plumper and more youthful skintone.
The cream is a little on the expensive side but you can find it more cheaply online at a number of different websites, and the tub will last for ages because you only need a little each time and you don't use it every night.
In any event, skincare this good is worth every penny I reckon. And since starting to use this cream, I need less of my serum, moisturiser, primer and BB cream because my skin is smoother and looks better (so I don't need as much coverage), so it will make those products last longer - increasing its value.

Five stars, and another HG product from Alpha-H. I'm gonna use this stuff FOREVER.
