I have a few reviews that need to be written sooner rather than later because I've almost finished the products in question, and this is one of them. I've been using it for months and my bottle is almost done, so it's time to sneak in this post ahead of the queue so I can go ahead and finish the product.

Long story short, I really like it and I would absolutely recommend it - especially if you have dry skin. It's one of those products that I loved from the first use and I would definitely repurchase it. More on that below.

Antipodes claims/product details:
  • Skin damage by day calls for replenishment by night
  • An intensive natural treatment to help assist and repair damaged and ultra-dry skin
  • Independent in-vitro scientific studies show Joyous Protein-Rich Night Replenish Serum is scientifically shown to stimulate optimal synthesis of elastin by an impressive 60.5%
  • Contains a concentrated extract from the vibrant Himalayan goji berry with up to 19 amino acids, and a base of super-fruit oils featuring red raspberry seed and New Zealand blackcurrant – both high in essential fatty acids
  • RRP $59 AUD for 30ml, but do shop around

Verdict

I'm really enjoying this and it's a definite repurchase for me. Sure it doesn't perform backflips, but it's been great for my dry skin and I recommend it if like me you need some extra hydration.

It's a yellow serum that's more of an oil than a traditional serum in texture. It does smell like berries and there's something rich, natural and lovely about the scent. I enjoy putting the product on my face.

You're meant to use this in the evenings and that's what I've been doing with it because it's a heavier serum and I agree that it's better for day use.

On that, if you have oily skin then you mightn't like this because it's not one of those light oils that vanishes into the skin - it's quite thick and it does leave a residue on the face, which is fine for my dry skin but it might not be fine for everyone.

On the claims: I do think there's something replenishing and intensive about it; I haven't noticed whether it's helped repair damaged skin but I do feel that it has a protective element; and I haven't noticed anything related to stimulating elastin (I'm not sure one would) but it is super hydrating and nourishing.

Overall I think this is a fantastic product and I'm really enjoying it. It hasn't done anything amazing for me (eg it hasn't targeted pigmentation etc) but it does hydrate beautifully and my skin has felt a lot more comfortable since I introduced it.

Better still, you can pick it up for around $30 AUD if you wait for specials, so it's not super expensive and I don't think you could do much better in this price bracket.

Lovely.
