Boscians Cycle Repair Whitening Spot - review
/

I received this product in Memebox Special #73 Brighten & Correct. It's the first product I opened from the box and I'm getting towards the end of the tube, so it's time for a full review.
It has a serum-like consistency and you're meant to apply a small amount under the eyes and over dark spots etc; but since pregnancy has given me a bundle of skin issues - including dark spots a-plenty and even darker under-eyes - I've been using a thin layer over my whole face as the first step in my skincare routine after toning.
It was easier to do this than dabbing blobs of it all over, but if you don't need to dab it 20 times in random positions, then I'd stick to using it as a spot treatment or you'll get through the product more quickly, as I have.
Boscians claims/product details:
- Contains green bud complex, which reactivates the skin's balanced cycle for reducing signs of uneven skintone and darkened spots, and brightening the overall complexion
- Also contains fermented extracts and a rich blend of hyaluronic acid that deeply hydrates dry, dull skin and leaves it soft and supple
- Speeds up the repair cycle of your skin to fight and smooth wrinkles
- Also aims to increase skin's elasticity
- RRP $24 for 15ml
Verdict
I've been using this product from the moment I received the box, so that's around a month now.
So far I've noticed no changes to my dark circles, age spots or uneven complexion unfortunately, and I would have expected to by now. Although it may have been a better idea in some ways to spot-treat and make the product last as long as possible (to really give results a chance to happen), I think a month is a reasonable length of time to at least notice some improvement.
There's nothing wrong with it as a serum/cream - it does moisturise a bit, although it's not enough for me to use alone in terms of hydration - it just doesn't deliver on any of the claims (not that I've seen, in any event).
So I wouldn't be sourcing this if you're interested in targeting age spots and dark circles. Having said this, I haven't had much luck with any cream or oil that claims to do this, so that's not unusual!
I'd say don't bother with this product, although I'd be interested in hearing from anyone else who's tried it.
