Sharashara Pink Piggy Collagen Cream - review
/
0 Comments
This came in Memebox Global #17, and I've been using it for a while now.
As mentioned in my review of that box, I was pretty suspicious of this product because I hadn't liked any of the Sharashara products I'd tried before this one - although they'd all been makeup items (not skincare) and so I was hopeful.
Sharashara claims/product details:
- A skin-firming and nourishing cream
- Contains high concentrates of collagen to enhance skin elasticity and resilience
- Has a naturally derived formula that's made up of collagen, hyaluronic acid and argan oil
- Helps to moisturise, rejuvenate and treat fines lines and wrinkles
- RRP $22 for 50ml
Verdict
Happily I like this cream more than I thought I would.
It has a strange consistency - kind of like panna cotta - but it melts well enough into the skin and definitely has a plumping, hydrating effect. It's a cream I reach for if I'm about to go out and want to freshen my face. Generally I'm using it that way (over makeup), rather than eg as a day or night cream - purely because the wrinkle plumping effect is noticeable.
So yes, I'd say it generally lives up to its claims.
The packaging is pretty horrendous and it's almost enough to turn a person off - I mean really, it's hard to take this cream seriously - but if you can get over that (as well as the 'pink piggy' name, the look of the cream and its strange consistency), you might find yourself pleasantly surprised. I was : )
I wouldn't go out and buy it because I've used similar creams that work just as well (if not better) and that feel more special - rather than feeling like something that belongs on Barbie's first dresser - but I'm enjoying using it and reckon it's definitely worth giving a go.
