Blessed by Nature Antioxidant Night Restoring Cream - review
/
1 Comments
This cream came as a freebie via Priceline's rewards program, and I've been using it nightly for the past couple of months.
Previously I was using a night cream from Trilogy, but that was super heavy and rich so it started clogging my pores and giving me break-outs - meaning it's either a better product for me in winter or it's just not the right cream for me period. We'll see.
Anyhoo. This cream. It's fine. I don't love it but it does work well enough and I think it would suit normal to oily skin because it doesn't have quite enough punch for my dry skin, although that does make it a better product for me to use now when the weather's warmer.
Nevertheless, I may well finish this cream by using it on the body because it's not doing enough for me to continue using it on my face. More on that below.

Verdict
I think this product is fine, but I reckon it's best suited to those with normal to oily skin and/or skin that's younger than mine is (I'm 38). For my dry skin, this doesn't quite hit the mark and I need something with more punch.
It's a white cream that smells herbal and natural, and it has a lightweight texture that's not too thick and not too thin. It spreads and applies well, and a little goes a long way so I can see this tube lasting for ages - especially because you get so much product to start with so it's definitely good value.
I've been using mine as a night cream for the past two months and what I've found is that it does hydrate my dry skin a little bit, but not enough to keep it feeling comfortable until morning. Indeed, I just applied it now as a day cream and my skin still has that slightly tight, dry feeling - so while I do think it hydrates, it doesn't do so enough for my dry skin.
Note that I've seen other reviewers say the same thing (see eg beautyheaven's website), and while the product has had good reviews from those with normal to oily skin, those with dry skin have given it less stars. So if you have dry skin then I wouldn't buy this, but if you're normal to oily, you may really like it.
On the claims: no I don't think it's given me glowing, younger-looking skin; no I don't think it's reduced any signs of ageing; no it hasn't reduced the look of my fine lines; and no I don't wake up with skin that feels soft, hydrated or energised.
Overall I don't think this product is bad, but it's not for my dry skin and I would only recommend it if your skin doesn't need much hydration. If that's you, then you may really like this - but if like me you need something with more punch, you may find that it isn't enough for you. And now that I've reviewed this, I'll probably send it to the body cream department. Life's too short for my skin to feel any drier than it needs to.
Fine but not hydrating enough for me personally.
