Jergens Crema Deep Conditioning Body Cream with Shea Butter - review and photos
/
0 Comments
I've been using this body cream for the past couple of months and I've kept meaning to review it, it's just that other posts have snuck in first so it's taken me a while to get to it.
I bought it on clearance at my local Priceline and I'm so glad I did because I really like it. It's hydrating, it smells nice and it also feels lovely on the skin, and I would absolutely buy it again.
Jergens claims/product details:
- Designed for those with very dry skin
- With shea butter as the second ingredient, this is potent and very softening to itchy skin
- Suitable for use on heels, elbows and knees
- Formulated with pure African shea butter and natural oatmeal, this body butter works to hydrate skin, leaving it feeling soft and looking radiant
- Relieves dryness, replenishes moisture and leaves skin nourished
- Absorbs quickly with lasting moisture and no greasy feel
- RRP $9.99 AUD for 226ml, but do shop around
Verdict
I'm really enjoying this product and I would absolutely buy it again. It's been perfect for my dry skin and I enjoy the experience of using it, plus it's not super expensive so it's one I would recommend.
It's a beautifully rich, thick and creamy product with a gorgeous shea butter scent that's definitely there but it's not overpowering. I enjoy using it for the scent and texture alone, although the product may be too heavy for those who have oily skin or who don't like heavier creams.
I also like that it's super nourishing and hydrating, but it doesn't feel too heavy for my dry skin. Plus it spreads and absorbs well so a little goes a long way and I don't need to work too hard to get the product to sink in.
Do note, though, that it does leave a greasy residue behind and while it's not the worst residue I've encountered, I can still feel it if I happen to touch my body after application. While this doesn't bother me because I have my shower in the evenings and tend to go to bed soon afterwards, I know it may bother some so I wanted to mention it.
On the claims: yes I think it's suitable for those with very dry skin; yes it's potent and softening, and it works well on dry heels, elbows and knees; yes it hydrates my skin and absorbs well; and yes it relieves dryness, replenishes moisture and leaves my skin nourished.
Overall I have nothing bad to say about this product and it's one I recommend. It's reasonably priced (especially if you wait for specials), it's hydrating and it smells lovely, and it's just a pleasure to use. I'll definitely be buying this again in future because it agrees with my dry skin.
Love.
