Burt's Bees Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme - review
/
1 Comments
I received a sample of this from Bellabox last year and loved it so much that I used my points to buy the full size.
While the overpowering almond scent is far too strong for my tastes (plus it tends to linger), the quality of this cream is good enough that I can overlook it.
Burt's Bees claims/product details:
- Pure help for hard-working hands
- Super rich, all-natural hand cream
- Provides long-lasting relief for dry, chapped hands
- Leaves skin soft and supple
- Made with sweet almond oil and vitamin E to moisturise dry skin
- Contains beeswax to help seal and shield your hands from the elements
- With such a sweet scent, you'll always be reminded to feed your skin with the nourishing care
- Cruelty-free
- To use: smooth a small dollop of cream onto freshly washed hands as often as required
- RRP $19.95AUD for 57g

Verdict
This is one of my favourite handcreams - it would hands-down (ha, sorry) be the favourite if it weren't for the overpowering scent. I've given it an HG tag anyway because it's just so good.
It's very thick and a little goes a long way. Do note that it's quite heavy so some mightn't want to use it every day, or may just prefer to use it as a night treatment.
Before having a baby I used it less, but now I'm doing a lot more work with my hands and washing/sterilising them a lot (I pat my dog often and have to clean my hands afterwards each time), so they're super dry and this has gone from a a product I applied at night to being one I apply during the day too.
It's getting a lot of use because it's easily the most moisturising and heaviest hand cream I have. It leaves my hands feeling so soft and wonderful after use that I'm probably reaching for it more often than needed. I'll definitely consider repurchasing it once I've finished the jar.
On the jar, I do like it because it's glass and feels/looks of good quality, but I'm not a huge fan of jar packaging because you expose so much product to air whenever you use it, and you dip your grubby hands in each time. But I'll let that pass with this product because I use it so much that I'll get through it quickly enough: others mightn't like the jar factor however - especially if they're not using it all that much.
As a final note, because it's so heavy there is a slight residue left behind after use and it takes a while to fully absorb. I don't mind this but some might, and it's another reason to use it as a night hand cream only.
