Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes - review
/
0 Comments
We received these wipes in Marie Claire's Autumn Edit of The Parcel. Makeup wipes never go astray and I was interested to see whether they held a candle to my favourite wipes - Essenzza Fuss Free Naturals (see review here).
Neutrogena claims/product details:
- Effectively dissolve all traces of dirt, oil and makeup - even waterproof mascara
- For clean, fresh skin in one easy step
- Gentle, ultra soft cloths contain superior cleansing technology
- Leave skin thoroughly clean with no heavy residue, so there's no need to rinse
- Gentle enough to use around the sensitive eye area, even for contact lens wearers
- RRP $6.99 for 25 wipes
Verdict
It's hard for me to review these objectively because I love the Essenzza Fuss Free Naturals wipes so much - and these are nothing compared to those - but I'll try!
First, they're nicely wet and there's plenty of moisture in them to clean your face. This isn't always the case with wipes and it's usually the first thing I notice. So ticks on that front.
Second, they're definitely gentle and don't irritate my dry/sensitive skin, so that claim is true - as is the claim that no gunky residue is left behind after use.
Third, they do clean pretty well but they do not remove waterproof mascara. I don't think I've found any wipe that actually does this (even the Essenzzas): I always need a proper cleanser and warm water to remove my mascara.
In short, I do think these are good little wipes but I won't be buying them because I'm already taken ; )
