MOR Rosa Noir Hand & Body Milk - review
/
0 Comments
We received this trial-sized hand cream in Marie Claire's The Parcel.
I'm a huge fan of MOR products so I was happy to receive this, but unfortunately it's not the best product I've tried from these guys and it's not one I would buy.
Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad product - it's just not rich enough for my dry skin.
MOR claims/product details:
- Silky hand and body milk that contains a luxe blend of shea butter and macadamia oil that deeply nourishes
- Contains extracts of wild rose, hibiscus and fig
- Revitalises and hydrates the skin, leaving it perfectly soft and with a lingering scent
- Rejuvenates, enhances elasticity and smooths the skin
- Soothes, firms and nourishes
- Free of parabens, sulphates and synthetic dyes
- Cruelty free
- The fragrance: rose, carnation and lily of the valley, plus sandalwood, musk and tonka bean
- RRP $34.95 AUD for 500ml, but do shop around (eg RY.com.au sells more cheaply)
Verdict
As mentioned, I love MOR products but this one didn't quite hit the mark for me.
Note, though, that it is called a 'milk' (rather than a cream or body butter), which implies that it's lighter and this is why it hasn't won me over: I prefer richer body products, even in the warmer months.
So it's all personal preference as always and you might really love this if you prefer light-to-medium lotions and creams.
I love the packaging as I love all MOR packaging, and if you're after a gift for someone, you really can't go past this brand because the products just look luxe and they're so well-presented - plus they're reasonably priced.
On the scent: it's heady and strong and it lingers. I smell floral musk and it's a little overpowering for me. It's a better scent for winter or night, and it's not one I want to be smelling in the morning on a warm day.
The lotion itself feels silky and absorbs well, plus it spreads well so even this little tube has lasted a while. The product does hydrate, it just doesn't hydrate enough for me. My skin doesn't feel dry after use, but it's not a product I would reach for after eg using a body scrub because I don't feel it's replenishing enough. I wouldn't use it as a hand cream for the same reason: my hands need more nourishment than this delivers.
All in all, this product is fine - it's just not one I would buy.
