Trilogy Rosehip Transformation Cleansing Oil - review
/
0 Comments
As you may know, I stocked up on quite a few Trilogy products last year because I was interested in seeing if the brand was as good as many people say it is.
While most of the products have been fine, some haven't worked well for me and others have been really good - and thankfully this cleansing oil is one of the latter products. It works, my skin likes it and I enjoy using it. More on that below.
Trilogy claims/product details:
- A silky, pure plant cleansing oil with rosehip, sweet almond, papaya and grape seed oils
- Effortlessly melts away makeup and impurities, transforming from an oil to a cleansing milk when emulsified with water
- Cleanses the skin without stripping its moisture, leaving skin feeling soft, hydrated and perfectly clean
- RRP $28.95 AUD for 110ml, but do shop around (I bought mine at half-price)
Verdict
I love a good cleansing oil so I was excited to try this, and I've used a lot of them so I have plenty to compare it to. Happily it's one of the better cleansing oils I've tried, and I would absolutely use it again.
It’s a thin and light oil, and it smells like rosehip. It applies like silk and feels gorgeous on the skin, and it also spreads well so you don't need to use too much per application - which is good because you don't get a huge amount of product, so the bottle isn't lasting me as long as other cleansing oils have done.
Better still, it works. I apply three to four pumps, massage it, add water so it turns milky, massage it some more and then remove it with a damp face cloth. It takes care of all my makeup, and while most cleansers don’t deal with my waterproof mascara well, this one removes most of it so that's a plus.
I've also used it in the morning spot as a kind of mask while I'm getting the kids organised. So I'll whack it on, get them ready and then go back and complete the cleansing process twenty minutes or so later. Happily it works well for this, and my dry skin feels nicely hydrated while I have this on - so if you have dry skin too, then you may want to try this.
After use my skin feels soft, clean, hydrated and comfortable. It also comes off well - which is good because I hate cleansing oils that aren't easily removed - although I suggest using a damp face cloth to help remove it because otherwise some will hang around on the skin.
I’ve also noticed that the product doesn’t irritate my eyes or give me blurry vision if some oil slips in there, which is a plus because that’s happened with other products and I don't like it.
Overall I think this is a great cleansing oil that generally meets its claims and I would absolutely buy it again. It works, it's easy to use, and it's not too expensive if you can find it on sale so it won't break the bank.
Lovely.
