Nivea Rich Nourishing Body Lotion - review
/
0 Comments
I have a pile of products that I need to review sooner rather than later because I'm about to finish them, and this is one of them.
I bought it a while ago when Nivea was heavily reduced in my local supermarket, and good golly I'm glad I did because I love it. More on that below.
Nivea claims/product details:
- Infused with the Nivea Intense Moisture Serum
- Now with 2 x almond oil (compared to the previous formula)
- Intensively nourishes for 48 hours
- Noticeably reduces the roughness of very dry skin after just one application
- Provides deep nourishing care for all your dry skin needs
- To use: apply daily to your whole body; reapply on dry skin parts
- RRP $7.99 AUD for 400ml, but do shop around
Worth noting now is that this product has had some excellent reviews online so it's obviously a firm favourite.
I can see why: it's inexpensive and it works, plus it's often available on sale so you don't need to pay full price for it if you don't want to.
Indeed, this may just be my new favourite body product from Nivea - which is saying something because I do like other Nivea lotions that I've tried (I like the Q10 Plus Lotion, reviewed here, in particular).
Verdict
This is an excellent body cream and I don't have a single bad thing to say about it. That's why I've given it an HG tag.
It's a rich, white cream with that familiar Nivea scent. Some people may find the smell to be overpowering but I personally love it: something about it reminds me of my childhood (perhaps Mum used to buy Nivea creams when we were kids). It's a rich, creamy kind of smell that's unmistakable.
Do note that I wouldn't call this a 'lotion' - it's far too thick and rich for that - so do be aware that it's more of a heavy cream in texture (albeit a thinner, runnier one). So if you're expecting something lightweight, this isn't it. There's definitely some oil in there, so I wouldn't recommend this for those who prefer lighter creams.
I've been applying this daily for the last couple of months now and my skin's thanking me for it. As you may know, I have dry skin everywhere (always have) so something like this is right up my alley. It nourishes my body, hands and feet, and although it does leave a slight residue behind, it's not so bad that I have to eg wash my hands before using my computer.
It applies, spreads and absorbs beautifully, and a little goes a long way so I haven't burned through this like I have many other body creams. This makes it even better value on a price-per-use basis, and I absolutely recommend it if you're after something cheap that works.
Overall I love this product and I reckon it meets its claims. I've given it an HG tag for that reason. It's cheap, it works, it smells nice and it's perfect for dry skin. Definitely one to keep in mind as we head into winter.
Love.
