Antipodes Delight Hand & Body Cream - review
/
0 Comments
I own the Joyful version of this hand and body cream and I absolutely love that (I've reviewed it here), so when I saw that it was available in other fragrances, I knew I had to try them.
This next one is the Delight version, and while in quality it's the same as Joyful, I don't like the fragrance as much so I wouldn't buy it again. More on that below.
Antipodes claims/product details:
- This high-performance, creamy moisturiser with a sweet fragrance of vintage gardenia will lift you to holiday dreams and make your spirit sing
- Silky macadamia nut oil richly hydrates and leaves your skin cushiony smooth
- Marigold bloom oil helps soften the most parched areas, and revolutionary vinanza grape will help free your skin from dryness
- RRP $34 AUD for 120ml, but do shop around
Verdict
In formula this is one of the nicest hand creams I've used, and while I'm not a huge fan of Delight's fragrance, I can see myself buying the Joyful version again and again. I love how the product feels on my skin, plus I'm a huge fan of Antipodes as a brand so I have no reason not to buy it!
It comes in a standard hand-cream tube that's a pretty blue colour (the box it comes in is pretty too). The cream has a leafy floral scent that's ok but I don't love it, and I much prefer Joyful's blackcurrent fragrance so I wouldn't buy this one again. There is another fragrance, though (Jubilation, which comes in a green tube), so I might try that one next and see how I go.
As for the product itself, it's a lightweight cream that absorbs and spreads well, and a little goes a long way so this tube will last me ages. Granted, I only use it overnight - but I still think it would last a good while if you wanted to use it more often than that.
What I love about this hand cream is that it's hydrating enough for the overnight spot and I can't say that of many hand creams because my skin is so dry (especially now that it's cold). But this cream suits me beautifully and I'm waking up with hands that feel nourished and comfortable, rather than dry and tight. Tick.
I also like that the cream doesn't have a greasy after-feel so you could certainly use it during the day if you wanted to. I've only kept it on the bedside table because it's more hydrating than the other hand creams I'm using at the moment, but it's honestly one of those products that I can use whenever I want to.
Overall I love the formula of this hand cream but not the scent, so while I gave Joyful an HG tag, I won't do the same with Delight. Still, it hydrates beautifully without weighing my skin down, it's not too expensive if you can find it on special (and you do get a lot of product in the tube), plus it comes from a brand I trust.
Worth trying.
