Teeez Nail Lacquers review: Chain of Stones (Pretty in Pyrite) and Head over Heels (Carmine Craze)
/
0 Comments
I was lucky enough to receive two Teeez Trend Cosmetics Nail Lacquers - one from June's Lust Have It women's box and one from a past Violet Box. I thought I'd review them both and compare them.
As mentioned previously, I'm a sucker for Teeez packaging and would be happy to display these products - whether or not they're any good.
Teeez Head over Heels Nail Lacquer in Carmine Craze (RRP $18 for 7ml)
This came in LHI's June 2014 women's box. Two colours were available - this one, a browny red with a slight sparkle, and a navy blue. I wish I'd received the navy but I'm glad I got one at all!
I applied two coats (no base or top coat). It went on smoothly and dried reasonably quickly. There's a good colour pay-off and while you can see some chipping after 48 hours' wear, this polish has chipped less than most I've tried (I don't know why, but nailpolish NEVER lasts long on me. Maybe from too much typing. Who knows).
Teeez Chain of Stones Lacquer in Pretty in Pyrite (RRP $15 for 8.5ml)
I'm not sure why this one's cheaper when it contains more product. Anyhoo. It's a beautiful, sparkly gold colour that I really love. I'm desperate to buy the Melted Copper colour (see the Violet Box shop).
Again, there's some chipping after 48 hours' wear. Maybe a little more chipping than the other colour; however this is on my right hand (which I use more). As with the other Teeez lacquer, this lasts longer than most. I applied two coats (no base or top coat) and it dried well.
A comparison
Both dried quickly, but the Chain of Stones one dried faster. The Chain of Stones polish is also thinner and easier to use (less chance of streaking), though it's also less opaque and could do with another coat.
Both last well by comparison to other polishes, although I think the Chain of Stones one lasts longer - I've used it before and it still looked pretty good after four days' wear. I've done more typing and cleaning than usual in the past couple of days, so this could explain the chipping.
The Chain of Stones product is cheaper (and you get more of it). Both are packaged beautifully and make good display items.
I would buy both and I'm looking forward to trying them in other colours.
Have you used any Teeez nail polishes? If so, what did you think?
