Invisible Zinc Tinted Daywear SPF 30+ in Medium - review

I picked up this product in one of the Facebook Swap groups, having been through two 20g tubes before and knowing it was a reasonable product.
While I have quite a few products to open in the tinted moisturiser/BB cream/CC cream department, I chose to open this next (having just finished one - waaahhhoooo!) because it's a good purse size and will do nicely for a facial sunscreen to apply throughout the day, now that the sun's getting stronger.
Invisible Zinc claims/product details:
- Sunscreen + moisturiser + sheer foundation
- More than just mineral makeup: a complete 3-in-1 sunscreen and beauty solution
- Use daily to nourish, protect and help prevent the appearance of premature ageing of the skin caused by UV exposure
- Light, non-greasy, sheer tint
- Micronised zinc oxide
- Award-winning
- Convenient and easy to apply
- High UVA & UVB protection: SPF 30+
At the moment you can buy the 50g product at $5 off (free shipping) for $27 at adorebeauty. I would definitely shop around for this - from a quick Google search, it looks like it's often available at a discounted price.
See above and below swatches. Above is unblended and below is blended out.
Here it is blended out again. As you can see, there's not much going on in terms of coverage - just a slight colour - and it's quite greasy (which is generally what you'd expect from a sunscreen).
Verdict
There's a tint to this product, but it's barely there. That's why I use it over makeup when I'm out: it keeps me protected from the sun and refreshes the coverage of my BB cream throughout the day, without competing with the BB cream or making me look overdone.
It does live up to its claims, since it's described as a sheer tint and that's exactly what it is.
It's a greasy product so I always have to powder after use, but that doesn't worry me.
While this is an ok product, it's not one I would wear on its own. Don't expect it to do much in terms of covering imperfections because it really doesn't do that at all - it's too sheer.
I like this, but I wouldn't go out and buy it. It's a useful product (plus I love the 20g purse size), which is why I was happy to swap it in the FB Swap group for something I wouldn't use.
Fair.
