Divine Woman Miniature Series - unboxing

You may have noticed that I've recently been going through my sample skincare items and travel kits, which I've been doing because I stacked up quite a few smaller products and wanted to start getting through them.

Next up is this gorgeous little offering from Divine Woman, which we received as our Maven Gift from Maslow & Co a while back (see unboxing post here).

Please note that the box did originally come in a beautiful white and grey sleeve, but mine has since suffered from baby-food spatters (comes with the territory ; )), which is why I haven't pictured it. You will however see the sleeve in the Maslow & Co unboxing post I've linked above.

Just look at how well-presented this little set is. I've been looking forward to using it, purely because it looks so nice!

As always I'll do a little unboxing post now, giving you product details and also my first impressions, then I'll come back later and update this post with mini reviews.

If any product is large enough to warrant a full review then I'll of course write one, but I suspect I'll be sticking with mini reviews for these items. Do let me know at any time if you want more details on any product though.

The set retails for $29.95 AUD and it contains:

  • Hydrating Cream Cleanser 7ml
  • Daily Renewal Lactic Gel Cleanser 7ml
  • Soothing Rose Toner 10ml
  • Illuminating Day Cream 7ml

According to the Divine Woman's website:

'The Divine Woman Miniature Series features our core Certified Organic skincare products so that you may tailor a ritual that is customised to your skin.

Perfect for trial or travel, the miniature series provides enough goodness to enrich your skin for up to one week.'

Divine Woman Hydrating Cream Cleanser (RRP $54.95 AUD for 100ml)

This is described as a luxurious cream cleanser that gently dissolves makeup and dirt from the surface of the skin, leaving it cleansed while retaining hydration. It's apparently rich in powerful antioxidants that fight free radicals and help prevent premature skin-ageing.

To use it, place a macadamia nut sized amount onto dampened fingertips and massage into the face, neck and décolletage for one minute, then remove with a warm damp face cloth and pat dry.

I do love a good cream cleanser so I'm looking forward to using this. It's a bit on the pricey side so it'd have to be excellent for me to consider buying it, but you never know, it could be amazing.

Divine Woman Daily Renewal Lactic Gel Cleanser (RRP $54.95 AUD for 100ml)

This is apparently a gentle foaming cleanser that's infused with skin-refining, botanically sourced lactic gel to support the skin's resurfacing process - revealing younger looking, renewed skin. Regular use should dramatically improve skin texture and brightness, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It's suitable for daily use on oily/combination skin or as a gentle occasional peel on all skin types.

To use it, place a macadamia nut sized amount onto dampened fingertips and apply to the face, neck and décolletage. Massage into a lather in a circular motion, leave for up to 20 seconds and then remove with a warm, damp face cloth and pat dry. For a more intense resurfacing treatment, leave on for 10-20 minutes.

Now I have dry skin so looks like it's not a 'daily use' product for me, but I do enjoy products containing active ingredients like lactic acid so hopefully this will work well. Looking forward!

Divine Woman Illuminating Day Cream (RRP $59.95 AUD for 50ml)

For a daily hydration ritual that provides protection from unforgiving elements, this cream should deeply moisturise the skin and give you a dewy, youthful complexion. Supporting collagen production through the infusion of powerful active ingredients, regular use should reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkle-depth to promote optimum skin elasticity.

To use it, once the skin has been thoroughly cleansed and toned, apply a small amount to the fingertip, dot over the skin and gently massage into the face, neck and décolletage until absorbed. Can be used morning and night.

I'm quite picky with my day creams - as a makeup-wearer and dry-skinned lass I need to be - so I'll be interested to see how this goes. I like a day cream that plumps and hydrates without being too heavy, so fingers crossed this one does just that.

Divine Woman Soothing Rose Toner (RRP $44.95 AUD for 50ml)

Preparing the skin for maximum moisture retention, this toner claims to hydrate the skin, leaving it dewy and soft. It is also described as a refreshing mist with astringent properties that mirror the natural pH levels of the skin to balance the delicate surface environment. It can also be used as a face mist to set makeup any time during the day, or as a refreshing body mist for an instant pick-me-up.

To use it, after thoroughly cleansing, spritz toner directly onto the face and allow to dry naturally on the skin. Also use to set makeup or enjoy as a refreshing spritz throughout the day to maintain hydration and freshness.

I love a good toner but I don't normally spend this much on one because I don't think you need to (plenty of good, cheaper options exist). Still, let's see how it goes.

In sum

I can't wait to get stuck into this little set!

Also worth noting is that these products are mostly made from certified organic ingredients (between 85 and 98%, depending on the product) and are 100% naturally derived/contain plant-based ingredients. Plus they're cruelty free, vegan, gluten free and Australian made.

Do let me know if you've tried anything from this brand and what you think of it if so.

Hope all's well with you, and speak soon x
