Jurlique Herbal Recovery Signature Serum - review
/
0 Comments
As you may know, I received three Jurlique products not long ago to test, and this is the third one I have left to review.
I've been using it for close to two months now and I can say that I do like it but it's my least-favourite of the three products I've tried recently from Jurlique, and the one that's done the least for me.
Still, it's good and I do think it's a nice serum, it's just that it's a plain serum and it hasn't done anything magical for my skin. More on that below.
Jurlique claims/product details:
- Restores, revitalises, firms
- Containing pure and potent organic red clover flower to enhance the role of hyaluronic acid, this youth-restoring serum combats the multiple signs of ageing to transform the appearance of your skin
- Easily absorbed thanks to our advanced gel technology, it helps to create a protective film on the skin's surface to maintain hydration and prevent moisture loss
- Lines, wrinkles and uneven skintone appear visibly reduced, leaving skin looking supple and youthful
- The subtle and refreshing botanical fragrance reflects the South Australian Hills, with notes of rose and lavender to complement fresh citrus and mild herbaceous tones
- Revitalises radiance and helps reduce the appearance of dullness
- Skin feels firmer and more supple
- Ultra concentrated with advanced absorption technology for faster results
- Softens the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- Free from: silicones, petrolatum, mineral oil, parrafin wax, PEGs, synthetic glycols, parabens, formaldehyde donors, GMOs, artificial colours and fragrances
- Dermatologist tested
- Suitable for all skin types
- $95.00 for 30ml or $135 AUD for 50ml
In the results of a clinical study of 54 women who used this serum for 56 days: 87% of women saw a visible reduction in the appearance of fine lines and pores; 88% of women agree that skin feels firmer; clinically proven to improve skin luminosity and help even skintone

Verdict
I was so pleased to receive this for testing and review, I can't tell you. I love a good serum and Jurlique is a reputable brand, so I couldn't wait to try it.
It's a lightweight serum that pumps out like a cloudy gel in texture but then spreads almost like water on the skin, so a little goes a long way with this and you don't need much.
It has a faint herbal scent and it absorbs nicely into the skin, although it does leave a tacky finish behind that won't be for everyone. Do note that the tacky finish is probably partly why my skin looks a bit brighter and more radiant after use.
I've been testing this product for almost two months now, and while my dry skin has really enjoyed it, I haven't seen any changes in my face that I've seen with my favourite serums. That is, my fine lines and wrinkles look the same, and I haven't noticed any changes to things like age spots etc.
On the claims: yes I do think this has a slight firming effect (temporarily after application); no I don't think it has restored or revitalised my skin; no I don't think it has targeted my signs of ageing; yes I do think it absorbs easily but I don't think it maintains hydration or prevents moisture loss; and yes I do think it brightens the skin a little and reduces the appearance of dullness.
Overall I think this is a nice serum and I've enjoyed testing it, but it hasn't done anything amazing for my face so I personally wouldn't spend the money on it. Still, it feels nice on the skin, it absorbs well and I don't need to use too much per application so the bottle should last a long time, which means it's a reasonable investment.
Nice to use but the effects aren't there for me.
