Elizavecca Milky Piggy Elastic Pore Mask Cleansing Foam - review

I received this product in Memebox Special #31 Earth & Sea Cosmetics - one of the best subscription boxes I've received to date.
To start with I was quite excited by this product, a mask/cleanser hybrid, but the smell of it has gotten the better of me and so I'm now using it on my body - just to keep the rancid pig fat smell away from my nose.
Elizavecca claims/product details:
- Made from charcoal, collagen from pig's skin and spider extracts (WTF?!)
- A hybrid mask and cleanser
- Aims to penetrate deep into your pores, clearing away all the dead skin cells and blackheads with bubbles 'as fine as a spider's web'
- According to the product card that came with the box, the RRP is $29 for 120ml; however it's $25 on the Memebox website and you can get it much cheaper if you shop around
Verdict
This one's a little weird on all counts - smell, look and feel.
You apply it to a dry face, add some water and massage it in for three to five minutes before washing it off.
It comes out black and goes grey when mixed with water, and has a kind of springy/spongey texture.
I'm not sure whether it has the best effect and it doesn't feel as though it cleans that well (this could just be me - I like cleansers that foam and feel refreshing). To be honest, it actually feels a bit 'dirty' on - although that could just be my reaction to the smell.
Ach, the smell. Pig fat gone wrong. I really can't handle it, and it's impacted my enjoyment of the product. While I'm happy enough to use it on my body, I can't bring myself to put it on my face - and even then I hold my nose and breathe through my mouth when using it (!).
Obviously it can't be so terrible then - if I really hated this product, I wouldn't be putting it on my body either ; )
Has anyone else used this? If so, what did you think?
