Every now and then you receive a product via a subscription box and fall in love with it completely, and it reminds you why you subscribe to these boxes in the first place.
For me, this was one of those products. We received it in February's Violet Box and it's beyond amazeballs. When my spending ban lifts, I'm definitely picking up the full size.
Suki claims/product details:
- Exfoliates and cleanses with all-natural ingredients
- Infused with organic lemongrass and chamomile
- Gently gets rid of dirt, oil and makeup, while wiping away old layers of skin with non-abrasive sugar
- Has a clean lemon scent
- You'll immediately notice how refreshed your skin feels after use
- Soft sugar crystals (sanding sugar) provide both granular and AHA cell renewal without tearing skin
- Granules melt into skin to help lift toxins and dead cells for safe and effective deep cleansing, providing real results without irritating side effects
- Helps smooth and even facial skin, reduce appearance of toxic and dry skin build-up, signs of most types of blemishes, flare-ups and collagen reduction, helps signs of premature ageing, fine lines and wrinkles, clarifies and rejuvenates the complexion
- Directions: wet hands. blend very small amount between palms to activate and customise action, massage into face and décolleté once per day (am or pm) or 2-3 times per week based on sensitivity
- RRP $46.95 for 120ml
Verdict
I LOVE this! I've only been using it a short while, and already it's gone straight to the favourites list. I've even given it an HG tag, and I can't remember the last time I did that with a cleanser.
I love the experience of using this from the moment I open the lid and the wonderful scent emerges from the tub. It smells so lemon delicious I've considered eating it ; )
You only need the tiniest bit of sugary goodness mixed with water and then rubbed on your face to feel the good work it's doing. It feels divine on your skin and, unlike most exfoliators, feels like it's moisturising at the same time that it's resurfacing.
It does work well as both an exfoliant and a cleanser (not all products can manage both, even though they claim to), and my skin feels fresher and cleaner after use. It also looks brighter and smoother, so all those claims are true.
I'm not sure about the claims relating to this product fighting the signs of ageing (eg fine lines etc), although it does have a temporary effect of that nature because it removes the first layer of dull skin. I don't think it has any cumulative effect over time, however.
In sum, I'm totally in love with this product and will definitely be sourcing a full-sized item once this one's finished. That will take a while though, because you use so little each time - another plus. I know what I'm planning to spend my Violet Box points on when I have enough!
Have you used this? Let me know what you think if so : )
