Thursday Plantation Macadamia Ultra Hydrating Daily Body Oil - review
/
0 Comments
I received this product to review and I was super glad to try it because Thursday Plantation is one of those brands I've been meaning to try for a while, it's just that I have so many other brands I've been exploring that I've been saving this one for another day.
Long story short, I really like it. Problem is, it only contains 125ml of product and it's quite thick so I'm burning through it faster than I would my normal body oils - plus it's more expensive than the other oils I typically buy - meaning it's not great value for me personally.
Thursday Plantation claims/product details:
- Enriched with macadamia oil, a rich source of essential fatty acids
- Intensely hydrates dry and ageing skin, leaving it looking rejuvenated and plumped
- Intensely nourishes and replenishes dry skin
- Infused with soothing lavender
- Rapidly absorbed
- Formulated without parabens, petrolatum, mineral oils, silicones, animal-derived ingredients or artificial colours/fragrances
- Cruelty free
- RRP $17.99 AUD for 125ml, but do shop around
Verdict
I have dry skin so I was excited to try this body oil, and I'm pleased to report that it's been perfect for keeping my skin feeling comfortable and helping with dry patches on my elbows and knees.
It's quite a thick oil with a lavender scent, and while I would prefer that it smelled like macadamia because I don't like the smell of lavender, that's just personal preference so it doesn't lose points on that front.
What I like about the product is that it does nourish and replenish dry skin as claimed, but what I don't like is that I seem to use a lot per application, given how thick it is.
Also, since it costs more and contains half the amount of product than the usual body oils I buy, I would only ever buy this when Priceline has one of its big sales because it's not good value for me personally on a price-per-use basis.

I love the pump packaging and I wish that more body oils came with a pump: it certainly helps with mess and product-wastage.
While I do agree with the claim that it absorbs well, it also leaves a residue behind so that's something to be aware of if you don't like heavier oils. This doesn't bother me, though - my skin needs all the grease it can get!
Overall I think this is a lovely product that generally meets its claims and I recommend it.
Worth trying.
