Bodyography Foundation Primer Clear - review
/
0 Comments
I've been promising myself that I'd finally start reviewing my Bodyography products because I love them so much and it's high time, but still I've found myself dragging my feet!
As I've mentioned before, I reckon I find it harder to review my favourite products because I want to make sure I do them justice, which means I keep looking at the drafts and thinking 'I'll do that tomorrow, when my head's better' because I have a newborn and - let's face it - my head mightn't be better for a long while hehe.
Anyhoo. Let's start with the primer, which is currently on my Project Pan list because it's one of those products I've been saving for use on special occasions - meaning it's been around for a while and it's definitely time to get through the tube.
Like many of us, I need to stop hoarding my favourite products and actually use them more often, otherwise they'll eventually expire and I won't have made a dent in them. What a sad day that would be ; )
Bodyography claims/product details:
- Contains anti-oxidants, vitamins A and E, green tea and grape seed extract
- This weightless, oil-free primer fills in fine lines and wrinkles, prevents collagen breakdown and gives the skin a silky smooth, long lasting, flawless base
- Extends wear of foundation
- Won't irritate sensitive skin
- Over time, aides in evening out skintone
- Available in the clear, bronzing and shimmer formulas, and 3 colour correcting formulas
- RRP $59.95 for 30ml
- For more information see Bodyography website
Verdict
You may have heard me say before that I've never had much luck with primers: while I've found a few I enjoy using, until this one I hadn't found one that made makeup last longer. This does. Like all Bodyography products I've tried, it mightn't look like much (I wish sometimes that they'd fancy up their packaging), but it's a little workhorse and does exactly what it's meant to.
This is without question the only primer I've used that makes an obvious difference to makeup lasting power - others might, but I have to test them by applying them to half my face and seeing how my whole face wears throughout the day. I didn't need to do that with this product because the results were clear.
As to the other claims, it's true that it's fine for my sensitive skin, although I've noticed no difference in my skintone over time. I would be surprised if a primer could impact that, particularly because it usually goes on top of serums and moisturisers and I'm not sure how much penetrates where it needs to, to have that kind of result.
It definitely gives you a smooth base for foundation and is weightless and oil-free. Really, it's a wonderful product and I can see why it's one of Bodyography's most popular items: if you have a look at eg beautyheaven, you'll see that I'm not the only one who loves this little product.
You'll see I've tagged it as one of my HG products - that's right, I've finally found an HG primer! Fortunately I also have the bronze version in full size, so I've got more of this product to play with when this travel-size tube is gone. Huzzah!
Wonderful.
