L'Oreal Advanced Revitalift Micro-dermabrasion Kit - review

This is one of those products that I'm surprised I'm only getting to review now, since I've been using it on and off for almost ten years and really love it. The kit is a two-step system and contains a microdermabrasion exfoliator and a post-treatment moisturiser with SPF15.
For some reason it's become hard to come by (I bought this on ebay) and I've just seen that's because it's been discontinued. But if you want to try it, you should be able to find it on ebay as I did.
I'm sad it's been discontinued. Once this one's finished, I'll have to find a new kit!
L'Oreal claims/product details:
- Refinishes skin's texture
- Helps erase surface sun damage and imperfections
- Delivers perfectly even-toned skin
- Hydrates and protects against external aggression such as free radicals
- Leaves skin super smooth
Verdict
I'll keep this review short because it's rather moot since you can only now buy this on ebay! But I wanted to write this post because this really is a great little kit and it's useful to know that decent at-home microdermabrasion kits exist.
I've seen a few others online but they're hard to find in Australia (a while ago I got a Mary Kay one sent out from the US, also bought on ebay); I'm not sure why that is and I wish it wasn't the case. I've never found anything that resurfaces my skin quite like this little kit: it takes five years off my face. Foo!
It doesn't take long at all to use this: you rub step one on your face and feel the little crystals doing their work. After a couple of minutes you wash it off and apply the moisturiser, and the difference in your skin is beyond amazing. For me, fine lines have vanished and my skin feels baby-soft, looks smooth and bright, and the effect lasts for days. I can happily use this kit on my sensitive skin once a week without risk of irritation.
Yes, this kit lives up to its claims. If it hadn't been discontinued, I'd be giving it HG status : (
The other reason I wanted to write this post was so I could ask whether others have a go-to home microdermabrasion kit. I really love using these because the results are so good, so if you have one you love, let me know!
