O&M Know Knott Conditioning Detangler - review
/
0 Comments
I remember that I only bought this product because it was on clearance for fifty per cent off, and if I added it to my cart, then I would get free shipping and a GWP from Alpha-H that I'd planned on buying anyway - so it was one of those 'no brainer' additions because it was worth the purchase even if I ended up not liking the product and passing it on.
Happily I actually like it - a lot! I'm so pleased about this because good haircare is hard to find in my experience, and I have a lot of trouble sourcing products that hydrate my dry hair and tame frizz without weighing it down. This detangler ticks a lot of boxes and it's definitely a winner, and I'm thrilled that I stumbled across it.
O&M claims/product details:
- A conditioning detangling spray to free hair of damaging snarls and knots
- The ultra hydrating formula is blended with a union of nourishing Australian natives
- Macadamia and Argan oils work to recondition the hair to protect it and leave it glossy and knot free, ready for styling
- Best for freshly washed hair, or dry hair, or even hair straight out of the ocean or pool for weightless protection and conditioning
- Replenishes and enriches the hair, making it softer while improving elasticity
- Restores shine and softness to dry, brittle hair
- Nourishes hair damaged by heat or colouring
- Improves hair strength and health
- RRP $31.85 AUD for 250ml
Verdict
I love this stuff. It hasn't quite hit HG status but it's definitely up there and I have a feeling that it's one of those products I'll like more and more over time.
It's a light spray with a fresh, fruity scent that's not too strong. I love the scent and am happy that it fragrances my hair a tiny bit, but not so much that it interferes with my perfume or that anyone else but me would notice it.
I give my long, dry hair maybe five or six sprays of the product and then brush it through with a comb. I prefer using it on dry, freshly washed hair because then I know how much my hair needs of the product (I can't always tell this when it's still wet). If my shampoo/conditioner combo has done its job, I don't need as much - but if it hasn't, I use more and this does what my other haircare products failed to do during the washing process.
It leaves my hair feeling beautifully soft, nourished and manageable, and it looks shinier and healthier too. It's one of those products that does exactly what it claims to do (hooray for that!), and it's made the whole combing process so much easier than it used to be. If my hair is super knotty at the ends - which it is at the moment because I need a trim - then I sometimes use some hair oil there because I need something stronger, but otherwise this product does the hard work for me.
On the claims: yes it conditions and detangles; yes it hydrates and nourishes; yes it replenishes and softens the hair (and makes it more bouncy); and yes it restores shine and improves hair health.
In sum, I love this stuff and recommend it. It ain't the cheapest product around but you do get a lot in the bottle and I've often seen it on special, so it's worth shopping around.
Awesome.
