Eslor Brightening Activator - review

You may have heard me say before how much I like Eslor products, and this one in particular. Seriously, it's that good - which is why I've given it an HG tag.
This is currently one of my favourite products of all time, and I can't see that changing any time soon. Every time I use it I'm reminded of how much I love it. Everything about it - the smell, the feel, the result - makes me glad I'm a beauty junkie who ordered a couple of Eslor's kits from the US because she couldn't help herself, despite how much skincare she had waiting in stock at the time.
Eslor claims/product details:
- For smooth, luminous skin
- With an unprecedented blend of anti-oxidants, vitamins and pure essential oils, this gel optimises protection against the harsh environment to help the skin preserve its youthfulness and minimise the appearance of fine lines and age spots, and restore the skin's vitality, promoting a firmer, brighter and more youthful look
- Results: skin is visibly smoother and brighter within three to four weeks; the intensity of brown spots is visibly even, smooth and resplendent
- Active ingredients: vitamin C, vitamin A and pure essential oils of lemon, orange and mandarin
- 100% free of parabens, sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS) and sodium lauryl ether sulphate (SLES)
- Application: use twice daily; apply to cleansed face and neck; follow with moisturiser
- RRP $110USD for 30ml
- Available from the Eslor website
- Also available in the Regenerating Kit from the Violet Box shop
Verdict
Oh how I love this. It's like a morning coffee for the skin and my face responds to it really well - I look brighter and younger as soon as I put it on.
The citrus smell is wonderful but not overpowering, and it's one of those products that just feels good for you. And because the brand uses only natural ingredients, it probably is good for you.
If you don't know much about the brand but want to, I urge you to have a look at the Eslor website. In short, the range was created by a pharmacologist who wanted to give his wife a natural-based skincare product line, while using cutting-edge science. It seems that most brands these days have a story behind them - it's almost become a pre-requisite - and Eslor's tale is short and sweet.
As for product claims, I have noticed both an immediate change in my skin when I apply this, and also cumulative results over time. The immediate result is that my skin wakes up and looks younger; the cumulative result for me has been smoother, more even skin - although note that I was using this product in conjunction with others in the Regenerating Kit, so there may have been a 'critical mass' situation going on. I do think this product is good enough to deliver results on its own, however, and I'm now using it without the rest of the range and my skin looks just as good.
The Brightening Activator is, I think...wait for it...BETTER than Clarins' Beauty Flash Balm. Impossible? No! The only issue is the $110USD price tag, but you can get the Regenerating Kit for $79 in Oz (Violet Box) or $65USD from Eslor (and note the current 15% discount on kits).
This is by far my favourite Eslor product, along with the Replenishing Scrub, which was the first Eslor product I bought: I picked it up for not much in the Bellabox shop (there was a sale on at the time and I had some points to use up). Violet Box now stocks it too for $3 less than Bellabox does. Both products hit HG status for me after first use and I can't recommend them enough.
Since I've raved about this brand so much, I should probably confirm that I'm not affiliated with Eslor in any way: I bought the products with my own dosh and all opinions are my own.
Yay to great skincare.
