St Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub - review
/
0 Comments
This is one of those products that I've been using on and off for years.
It's a favourite among the beauty community and it's definitely on my list of awesome budget products, and I've no doubt I'll keep coming back to it indefinitely.
St Ives claims/product details:
- Gently cleans pores and helps stop breakouts before they occur
- Helps prevent blackheads and minimises pores
- Fights blemishes naturally without drying out the skin
- Buffs away dead skin cells
- 100% natural exfoliants
- Paraben free; oil free
- 2% salicylic acid
- Dermatologist tested; hypoallergenic
- Key ingredients: apricot, corn kernel meal, walnut
- Not tested on animals
- RRP $9.99 for 150ml, but do shop around
Verdict
This is a great little scrub and you can usually pick it up on special somewhere. From memory I got it for less than $8 - not bad for a massive tube of a great scrub!
What I love about it (aside from the budget price) is that it contains plenty of scrubby matter and really does the job well. You may have heard me say before that I prefer a harsher scrub that really gets in there and cleans/buffs properly, and this does.
As for claims, I'm not sure whether this minimises pores, but I do feel it helps prevent blemishes. While I still get blackheads, I reckon I get less of them when I'm using a decent scrub like this one.
My skin always feels soft and smooth after using it, although I can't use it too often because I have dry skin and this can be drying if you overdo it. If you have oily skin I think you could use it more frequently, but once or twice weekly is plenty for me.
A great scrub at a budget price. Can't go wrong.
