My love affair with this product began years ago, and after trying a bundle of other finishing sprays and hydrating/setting mists, it's still going strong. You may have heard me say before that I'm not a huge MAC fan, but this product went straight to HG status from the moment I tried it - and it's stayed there ever since.
I'm not sure why MAC hasn't grabbed me as a brand. I did go through a MAC-only phase about five years ago when two friends convinced me to stock up on makeup when I was in Canada because it was so much cheaper there. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but I ended up barely making a dent in any of the products (except this one). Having said this, I wasn't a beauty junkie at the time - so maybe that also had something to do with my failure to fall for MAC. Nevertheless, I fell for other brands not long after, and I reckon there's something about me and MAC that just doesn't gel.
Anyhoo. This product holds a special place in my heart and always will!
MAC claims/product details:
- An aqua-spritz of vitamin and minerals, infused with a calm-the-skin blend of green tea, chamomile and cucumber, topped off with the fresh, natural, energising scent of Sugi
- Adds radiance, finishes makeup
- Spray it on; skin drinks it up!
- Shelf-life: 24 months after opening
- RRP $27 for 100ml; $15 for 30ml
Verdict
I can't rave about this product enough. Yes it lives up to its claims, and then some.
What I love most about it is that it seems to take five years off my face each time I use it, and that effect lasts for a while. Honestly, no other comparable product seems to plump my skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles more than this one. On top of that, it leaves a nice, dewy sheen that also makes me look more healthy.
Plus it really does set makeup well - keeping it in place and prolonging its wear - and it feels super refreshing. I feel a little better whenever I use this.
That's all there is to say really. If you haven't tried this, I urge you to pop into MAC and give it a spray.
A thousand ticks from me!
