Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Fast Dry Top Coat - review
/
0 Comments
I've had this top coat for around 18 months and I don't use it enough. I'm too lazy to apply nail polish most of the time - and when I do, I tend to leave the same chipped manicure on for weeks - and this top coat feels like an extra step that I don't need.
But since going on a no buy, I've been making an effort to actually use the products I have and this one's next up on the chopping block. When I do my next Project Pan update, I'm pretty sure I'll include this because I'd really like to finish it off and I'd also like to do a better job with my nails.
Sally Hansen claims/product details:
- 60 seconds to stronger nails and dazzling shine
- Creates a virtually shatter-proof shield to help prevent chipping and breaking
- Real micro-diamond, platinum and aluminium formula for strength and shine
- Fast-drying, long-wearing protection
- To use: shake gently; apply nail colour and wait two minutes before applying one top coat; manicure will be touch-dry in 60 seconds
- Shelf-life after opening: 24 months
- RRP $13.95 for 13.3ml, but do shop around
Verdict
This is a great little product and I'm glad I'm making myself use it!
I'm not sure it makes your nails touch-dry in 60 seconds, but it certainly speeds up the process. I usually leave it for five minutes to make sure.
It definitely adds strength and shine (the shine factor is especially lovely) and dries quickly. It does help with chipping and breakage, although my nails still chip to buggery within a couple of days - but at least this stops them chipping within a couple of hours, which they would normally do.
It's a very thin polish and I find this makes it easier to apply and also means you're unlikely to add too much of it. This also means the polish is likely to last you a long time, so it's good value.
Ticks from me. I'm definitely going to make sure I always use this in future. I wish I hadn't taken so long to dust it off again!
Do you have a favourite top coat? I think this would have to be my favourite, although I haven't tried that many.
