L'Oreal Shine Caresse in 501 Bonnie - review

I was so glad to receive this in my Lust Have It Chloe Morello Box: while I didn't know whether the product was any good, at least I'd received a colour that would suit me (not too vibrant orange), and was appropriate for the occasional days when I had to attend the office for work (most writing/editing I do is online - lucky me!).
As you can see, it's a great orange - not too much but still with enough punch - plus it's nice to wear something different from the standard office reds, pinks and nudes.
L'Oreal claims/product details:
- The 'next generation' lip colour: lighter than a stick; more comfort than a gloss; just-bitten lips like a stain
- Combines the texture and shine of a gloss with the long wear of a stain
- Delivers a lasting colour with a subtle glossy shine
- Unique formula that comprises 30% water and 60% oil, providing an exceptionally high level of moisture and allowing for six-hour hydration
- Concentrated soluble colour pigments create a subtle wet look with a weightless feeling on lips
- RRP $23.95 for 6ml, but do shop around
Verdict
This is a great product. Indeed, I kept this as my office lippie for a while, so at least someone must have wondered whether it was the only lippie I owned hehe. I've used both this and the shade Princess in the past and have loved them both.
In terms of product claims, I'd say these gems meet the lot: they're lightweight, long-wearing and don't feel sticky. Definitely a hybrid gloss/stain product that contains the best of both worlds.
I've been told these products are very like the YSL Glossy Stains (haven't used the latter so can't comment myself) in terms of how they feel, look and wear. Thank golly for cheaper products and frequent sales at chemists! Big ticks from me.
Have you used these? If so, what did you think?
