Skinmiso Pore Beauty Nose Pack and Comedo Remover Set - review
/
0 Comments
I picked this up from the Bellabox shop around this time last year.
I do get a few blackheads around the nose area (don't we all?) and I wanted something to target that. This sounded interesting and it wasn't too hard on my wallet, so I thought I'd give it a go.
The Skinmiso Pore Beauty Nose Pack is a three-step system formulated to gently remove blackheads and whiteheads from the nose area.
Step 1 is a nose mask that draws out blackheads and whiteheads (they can then be removed safely using the Comedo Remover). Step 2 is also a nose mask that closes the pores and makes them appear smaller. Step 3 is a gel that's applied to the nose area; it's designed to control the secretion of oil to prevent the formation of blackheads and whiteheads.
Skinmiso claims/product details:
- Ultimate solution for blackhead removal
- Contains natural ingredients and witch hazel
- Removes excess oils, controls future production and reduces pore size
- The Comedo Remover is made of durable stainless steel; it removes blackheads and whiteheads in a safe and hygienic way; does not buckle or bend after frequent use
- RRP $29.90 for the full set ($22.95 for just the pack without the steel remover)
The Comedo Remover (pictured below) is designed to remove blackheads and whiteheads from the deepest of pores, and comes in a nice little case.
To use the pack:
- Wash face with tepid water
- Apply the first mask in the middle of your nose; leave on for 10 minutes
- Remove mask and gently remove the whiteheads and blackheads that have surfaced on the nose with the Skinmiso Comedo Remover (press this gently against the skin)
- Do not use on broken skin and do not press too hard to avoid damaging your skin
- Wash your nose and apply the second mask for 10 minutes
- Remove the mask and rub in the Beauty Silk Essence
- Apply gel on your nose and rub it into your skin
- Wash the Comedo Remover after use and store it in the case to keep it clean
Verdict
This was a lot of effort with little pay-off - at least for me.
I didn't notice any significant change in my blackheads and whiteheads, and the steel remover was pretty useless. I think it wasn't fine enough (as in, the wire bit you press on your skin was too wide/broad for me) to do the job.
Maybe that's why it seemed to work much better on Mex - yes, I used him as a guinea pig! - he has bigger pores and I was able to use the remover quite well to pop out his blackheads (oh gross, what a topic). So I guess it works for some and not for others.
The masks themselves and the gel didn't seem to have any effect either - other than drying out my skin. Again, they seemed to work better on Mex's skin than mine.
I wouldn't repurchase. Has anyone else used it? If so, what did you think?
