Avon Nutra Effects Radiance Day Cream SPF 15 - review
/
1 Comments
Back in April, members of beautyheaven were able to exchange points for products, and I was a good girl and chose a couple of skincare items I really needed - as opposed to picking out some makeup products that I really didn't.
Like many I did a lot of research and umming and ahhhing before choosing my products, and I'm so glad I settled on this because I'm absolutely loving it and it's exactly what my dry, pregnant winter skin needs.
Avon claims/product details:
- This protective day cream helps visibly revive dull, uneven skin from day one
- Formulated with Active Seed Complex, which includes bird of paradise seeds to deliver more radiant looking skin and more even skintone
- Bird of paradise seeds have the ability to reduce pigmentation in skin cells
- Helps visibly improve dull and uneven skintone, making skin look/feel smoother and appear more radiant
- In two weeks, you’ll see visibly healthier skin
- Suitable for all skin types
- How to use: apply in the morning after cleansing
- RRP $15 AUD for 50ml
The cream comes packaged in a glass tub with some nice weight to it, and it's white in colour and has a thick, rich texture.
Verdict
This stuff is sensational and I'm really enjoying using it.
It's a white cream with a thick, rich texture and a fresh, fruity scent. The cream spreads and absorbs really well, and while it does leave a slight greasy residue behind, I don't find it to be too heavy - although it may be better for normal to dry skin because you might find it a touch heavy if your skin is oily.
I'm pleased that it has sun protection, and while I'd prefer a higher SPF (if I'm going to be really picky), SPF 15 is definitely better than none at all.
My skin feels beautifully hydrated and nourished after using the product, and it also looks brighter and more plumped. I used this for a few weeks when I received it, then had a break for a week, and I've been using it again for another few weeks. My skin definitely responded well when I re-introduced the product: it's less dry and feels less uncomfortable, plus it just looks healthier overall.
On the product claims: I do think this revives dull skin and offers some radiance; it does make skin look and feel smoother; and while I haven't noticed any impact yet on pigmentation, I do feel that my skin looks more even overall - although this may be because the cream hydrates so well and has addressed some dry, red patches that I had (I don't think it's done anything yet for dark spots etc). I also agree that this has made my skin look healthier since I started using it.
All in all, this is a fantastic cream and I'm especially loving the $15 pricetag! My skin looks better than it has in a while - plumper, brighter and more hydrated - and I really can't fault the product. I'll definitely consider buying it once my tub has run out.
