Mecca Level 3 Beauty Loop Box, October 2018 - unboxing
/
0 Comments
Hello and welcome to another little unboxing post.
I made an order a couple of days ago when these boxes arrived, and I was super pleased when I opened this one. While I'm always excited to see what's in these boxes, some are better than others - and this is a great one.
Let's have a look!
There's a nice little mix of products here. I haven't had a look yet at the other items I could have received in this particular box (sometimes variations exist between boxes), but in any event, I'm happy with mine.
And of course, anything that has an Hourglass product inside it is ok by me ; )
A quick look at each item:
Amore Pacific Vintage Single Extract Essence (RRP $224 AUD for 120ml; received 5ml sample)
This is described as a prebiotic, antioxidant-packed, anti-ageing essence that's designed to smooth texture and promote a clearer, more even and toned complexion. It's made from fermented green tea, and it should help skin absorb serums and moisturisers more effectively.
I love essences and I can't wait to try this one, but I really REALLY hope I don't like it because it's far too expensive for my budget.
Let's hope it's good but not too good ; )
Hourglass Caution Extreme Lash Mascara (RRP $42 AUD for 9.4g or $20 AUD for 5.5g; received 3.5g sample)
This is described as an ultimate all-in-one mascara that features a double-action brush, densely packed bristles and a smooth glide formula. It should deliver high impact volume, length and definition with each swipe.
Unfortunately this hasn't had great reviews on Mecca's website, so I'll be approaching this mascara with...ahhh...caution.
Still, I love mini mascaras because I can finish them before they need to be turfed, so there's no product waste and that satisfies my waste obsession at least ; )
BareMinerals Gen Nude Patent Lip Lacquer in Everything (RRP $27 AUD for 3.7ml; received 2ml sample)
This is described as a high-shine liquid lipstick that offers full-coverage colour and a lacquer-like finish in one swipe. It should help keep lips soft, smooth and hydrated.
While initially I saw this and thought 'liquid lipstick: not for me', the reviews have been so glowing that I'm now super excited to try it. All the comments I've seen have raved about how hydrating this is, and my dry lips are hanging out for a long-wearing lip product that lasts better than the glosses I normally reach for - so this could be the product I've been searching for. Fingers crossed!
The shade 'Everything' is described as a muted mauve (which sounds as though it's going to suit me), and if I like the formula, I might just have to buy more...
Omorovicza Intensive Hydra-Lifting Cream (RRP $257 AUD for 50ml; received 5ml sample)
This is apparently a rich and easily absorbed anti-ageing moisturiser that's formulated for everyday use. It should deliver instant lifting, visible plumping and prolonged, sustained firming - while resurfacing lines and wrinkles, and providing lasting hydration.
This has fantastic reviews on Mecca's website, but gosh, I can't bring myself to spend this much on a moisturiser. Indeed, even if I were made of money (which I most certainly am not), I still think this is too much to pay for a face cream.
Still, I'm looking forward to trying it. It's designed for my dry skin so let's hope it's as good as it claims to be.
In sum
That's all from me!
I'm super excited about this box: it's probably the best one I've received this year.
Do let me know in the comments which products you received in your box and whether you're happy with them: I'd love to hear.
Hope all's well with you, and speak soon x
