Perricone MD Pre:Empt Series, The Travel Set - unboxing
/
0 Comments
Hello and welcome to today's post, which is an unboxing post for this Perricone MD skincare set.
I bought it a while ago and it was next on my list of items to open because I'm running out of a few things at home, and since we left for Noosa a couple of days ago and I needed some smaller skincare items to bring, I thought I may as well use these.
I haven't tried a lot from Perricone MD (just a sample here and there) and I've heard good things about the brand so it will be interesting to see what it's like.
Worth noting is that a few of the Mecca staff I've spoken to swear by this brand, and I always think that's a good sign because they likely try a lot more different skincare than we do so they're well-placed to tell us what works.
Perricone MD claims/product details:
- The must-have skincare collection for millennials
- A quartet of complexion wonders to pre-empt the ageing process
- Preserve your youthful complexion and combat the first signs of ageing with this pre-emptive skincare suite
- This collection targets enlarged pores, fine lines, dullness, loss of elasticity and discolouration to promote your best skin yet
- RRP $101 AUD
The set includes:
- Exfoliating Pore Refiner (59ml)
- Skin Perfecting Serum (15ml)
- Oil-free Hydrating Cream (30ml)
- Brightening Eye Cream (7.5ml)
What I'll do is introduce each product individually now and then I'll review whatever's large enough to review before following up with a round-up post on the set as a whole later on (this will include mini reviews of all products).
Perricone MD Pre:Empt Series, Exfoliating Pore Refiner (RRP $88 AUD for 118ml)
This claims to visibly tighten pores and reveal a youthful, radiant complexion. It's described as a gentle, resurfacing liquid exfoliant that's designed to lightly resurface and clarify for perfectly 'poreless', smooth skin.
I'm looking forward to trying this. I love a liquid exfoliant and I'm assuming that this will be a good one. It's had some good reviews on the Mecca website and that's always promising. I'll be surprised if it's better than my trusty Alpha-H Liquid Gold but you never know.
Perricone MD Pre:Empt Skin Perfecting Serum (RRP $132 AUD for 29ml)
This is described as an ultimate all-rounder, which should tackle the first signs of ageing to protect the skin's youthful, glowing appearance. It claims to target fine lines, uneven skin texture, dryness and dullness. It should tighten pores and soften the appearance of fine lines, brighten the skin and also smooth it out.
I'm a total sucker for a good serum so I'm hoping this is a good one. The sample is 15ml so it should last me six weeks or so and I do plan to review it so stay tuned for that if you're interested.
Perricone MD Pre:Empt Series, Oil-free Hydrating Moisturiser (RRP $110 AUD for 59ml)
This should target dryness, dullness, fine lines and uneven skin texture. It's designed to tackle the first signs of ageing and should brighten, soften and smooth the skin, as well as boosting moisture levels. On top of this it claims to prevent dullness from becoming discolouration, pores enlarging further and fine lines transforming into deep creases.
This costs more than I would typically spend on a moisturiser but I'm looking forward to trying it.
Perricone MD Pre:Empt Series Brightening Eye Cream (RRP $94 AUD for 14ml)
This claims to brighten and de-puff the eye area while also targeting fine lines, dark circles and dryness. It's formulated with avocado oil and caffeine, and it contains light-reflecting pearls to brighten and illuminate the eye area.
I'm always in the market for a good eye cream so I'll be interested to see how this fares. It's probably a bit more expensive than I would like, although I'm usually prepared to spend money on an eye cream because the good ones do make a difference for my dry eyes.
In sum
That's all from me. I did have plans to get quite a few posts up while we're away, but unfortunately the people in the holiday apartment above us have been making a lot of noise all night over the last two nights, so we're as tired as buggery and I just don't have the head for it.
We're hoping to move apartments today. Fingers crossed that we'll be able to do so.
Hope all's well with you, and speak soon x
